18- Season on the Line

JUL 29:
This week we unveil a new name for a special prize... the 'Bang-On Medal' is now to be known as "The 'Plugger Locket' " in honour of Tony Lockett.
Plugger holds the record for the most accurate single game goal kicking performance, when he once kicked an amazing 16 goals 0 behinds in Round of 1995 against Fitzroy.

At seasons end (including finals) the player who tips the most games with 100% accuracy will win* this commemorative perpetual locket.

Yes, this (badly photo-shopped) medallion could be yours if you are on your tipping game!

With three 100% accurate tips to date this season, Clinton must be delighted to be the clubhouse leader for this prestigious (and incredibly stylish) medallion.

* Not a physical award, but recorded in the annals of FMI Tipping History.

And now, this weeks results!

Dave scores the win with correct tipping all weekend, and boots it home with Accuracy in the Port game. Andrew stuttering heading toward finals?

Both players missed the Hawthorn win (and our only two to tip Essendon). Boot picking margins closer gets the win in the 'John Derby'.

Clinton keeps a top 5 chance alive with a big win (and the bonus from the Port game) to score the win over Mark. Marks top 5 chance now looks gone.

The FMI gets a win as botn players were accurate in all games, but margins split the players. Will this loss to Col rob him of the double chance?

The machine that is Pavmantle rolls on... another win this week to see him well and truly secure the 2013 minor Premiership. For Amul, it would take a miracle to get a top 5 spot now (i.e. Clinton to lose, Boot to lose very badly and Amul to win by a monster margin to get over his -19 SD).

Teams Of The Week:
The second last round brings up only two outstanding performances... both the teams who scores the bonus points. Dave gets his second nod, while for Clinton its a 6th! He can only tie (at worst) for this award.

We also should tip in the Boots and the Pies... I mean,  who tips Essendon against Hawthorn!?!

Table After Match 17:
Wal on top and minor premiership... no change in other top 5 positions, but the fight for a double chance slot still open.

At the foot of the table, we see more evidence of the value of the bonus points as Dave jumps from 10th to put the Hot Pies in the Wooden Spoon slot.

JUL 26:
Tips are locked in!

JUL 22:
Here we go... into the last two regular season games.

This week, the FMI is off to New Zealand to scope out establishing a branch office*, so you may not get prompt acknowledgement of your tips, nor any reminders.
This week, the onus is on you lot to tip on time.
* Not really

This games this week to tip are...
    Essendon -v- Hawthorn
    Melbourne -v- North Melbourne
    Geelong -v- St Kilda
    Port Adelaide -v- Brisbane Lions
    SMFC/Sydney -v- Richmond

And the key matchups are:

DavPope -v- A_OKeefe
Last placed Dave now battling for respect. Andrew has no way of winning the minor premiership, so it all about securing the double chance.

SidebySidePies -v- TheHolyBoot
John vs John. Season on the line for the Pies. Lose and its a Plate playoff. The Boot needs to win to hold a top 5 space and shot at the Cup.

MarkDuffett -v- Clinton_V8
Another supercritical match-up Clinton must win to keep in touch. A loss would see the Cup tilt over. Mark also needs to win to keep the top 5 chance alive. Both teams looking like heading to a last week scramble.

Wal13Freo -v- Amul82
Amul is knocking on the door, but faces the toughest regular season challenge... Battling the machine that is Wal's Pavmantle. Will Amul break the purple streak and reach the finals?

AFLFootyMaths -v- Coldogs
Two top 5 teams battle it out... one hoping to hold a place the other battling for the second double chance slot.
